Welcome to the new Worthing Speakers Club website!

by Jon Lawrance on August 21, 2009

Hope you like the new design of the Toastmasters site. A few points of interest:

1. Both Worthing Toastmaster websites now point to this site. i.e. they are duplicated. This should reduce confusion as there is only one set of content now.

2. Your participation in commenting on posts is useful in two ways. Firstly, it shows this is a live, functioning club to potential new members. Secondly, it provides a central point of contact for club members, who can add their opinions to both posts and maybe even some posts themselves.

I hope you like the design and please feel free to comment on this post and the website in general!

Jon, I want to thank you personally for the time and effort you have put into the new club website. It is easy to find, clear, well laid out and looks very professional. The links to the Toastmasters International, Toastmasters of Britain and Ireland and the South East Speakers website nicely set the Worthing Club into the global family tree.

The website does just the job – to inform and direct people to interract with the club and come along to a meeting with a view to joining as a member.

As our members get used to communicationg via this website, it will stimulate membership growth. This has to be the best marketing tool a club can have. As a result of your hard work, Worthing Speakers Club has a website that positions us on an equal footing alongside many other established club webitesites worldwide. A big ‘Thank you’

Well done Jon – I know just how much work goes into putting a site up like this.

For anyone interested in the wider world of Toastmasters, and it is indeed an exciting world, you may be interested to view the Area site at http://a32.org.uk which has details of forthcoming events. The Spech competitions, both Area and Divisional and also an exciting evening in London (entry cost £4.99).

I am looking forward to coming to your meeting in September.
Look forward to working with you long into the future
